Part B · Trade — Chapter 6
Bi-weekly scan & filter
After this: turn the whole market into a list of ≤5 coins worth a setup, in about 15 minutes.
The scan is a filter, not research
The point of his watchlist is a sub-15-minute scan that removes the junk, so time goes only to the few coins with strength and a story. "Don't ask me what this coin does… I really don't care." The scan finds the same coins the researchers find, just faster. Fifteen minutes once a week, done consistently.

BTC first, then ETH, then alts
BTC is the "base layer": is it trending, sideways or down, and which 200s has it reclaimed? Then compare ETH. If BTC is going sideways in 2% while ETH trends 6%, there is no reason to trade BTC over ETH. Higher beta leads to alts.

Keep what already beats BTC
Flip through the alts with the spacebar on the 4H. Apply the four-second rule: does it obviously look better than BTC? Relative strength means it "did two months ago what BTC is just starting": it broke its range, made a HH, and is now retesting. Going sideways while the market bleeds also counts. One higher high on the 4H is a "polished turd". "Strength tends to attract more strength."

Drop what you can't trade
Outperforming isn't enough. Drop algo-driven stair-steps, wick-riddled and illiquid coins, manipulated pumps, "2017 dino" coins, strength built on a 1m trend, and fresh narratives with no structure. "I want to be able to see structure. I want to be able to trade trends." In year-end illiquidity, random 30% wicks mean skip first-test bids.

Strong is not the same as actionable
In a rising tide everything goes up, so pick by strength and actionability. GALA was the strongest coin but had nothing to buy. "Is that an actionable analysis or is it just analysis?" A HTF 200s 40% below price is a light bulb, not an entry. Either find a nearer MA the coin respects, or leave it as an honorable mention (see Ch 5).

Find the 200s the coin respects
Cycle 4H → 3H → 2H → 1H → 30m 200s and keep the one price actually touches. That's the coin's trend portrayal. HTF 200s are irrelevant if price never visits them. Only respect a line the coin respected recently: "don't suddenly use an MA price ignored". He splits them into HTF / local / parabolic tiers. The ladder then tells you what comes next: to reach the slow one, price must lose the fast one first (Ch 2).

Too fast = not your coin
If only the 5m 200s portray the trend, he skips it: he won't screen-watch for 8 hours. On 5m/3m "R changes 0.3R per tick". He sits and waits for 30m or higher, and is fine missing rallies below that. Your floor is higher (see the bi-weekly box), but the rule is the same.

Review last list: keep or drop
Each new list starts with an honest review. A coin that shows up again next week means the pick worked. Keep it while its HTF trend (4H 200s + demand) holds. Drop it when it stalls into a range with no MA to play, when the trend breaks into downtrending structure, or when it's untradable and better choices exist.

BTC sets how many trades you take
Opportunity comes in regimes: "utopia" (throw darts), "oasis", or "puddle". In the Nov–Dec 2022 bear/illiquid puddle his list was "polished turds": few trades, no pre-bids, wait for LTF strength. "When Tron is your strongest coin…" the list itself tells you the regime. BTC sideways with alts trending means trade the higher-beta outperformers. In a rising tide, pick the strongest actionable coins and think bigger. Three trades a week is fine. Go live your life.

If → then
- BTC sideways while ETH/alts trend → trade the higher-beta outperformers, not BTC.
- Coin doesn't look better than BTC within 4 s → skip.
- Algo steps, pump wicks, illiquid, no structure → drop, even if outperforming.
- Strong but no respected MA nearby → watch only.
- Only a very fast MA portrays the trend → below your TF floor, skip.
- Last pick still above its HTF 200s + demand → keep. Ranging or lost trend → drop.
- Your best coin is a "polished turd" → the regime is a puddle. Take fewer trades.
