Glossary

His terms, one line each, with the moment he defines them and the chapter that uses them.

A+ setup
All three parts (structure, 200s, gray box) confluent. The only place he sizes up. ▶ Conviction 2:50 · Ch 8
Chop
A regime where bias flips often (≥3 in days). Trend tools fail, so use a range mindset or step away. ▶ Rational 13:16 · Ch 4
Confluence
Several parts of the system (structure, 200s, gray box) agreeing at one price. ▶ Explaining 9:50 · Ch 3 · Ch 7
Consolidation
Lower highs + higher lows (a triangle). Resolves up or down. ▶ BEST Strategy 3:06 · Ch 1
Core position
The part of a position held through take-profits and pullbacks while the thesis stands. ▶ Manage Trades 6:45 · Ch 10
Deviation
Doing "something outside of the norm only to resume the norm", e.g. a breakout that falls back into the range. Also called fake-out / bull or bear trap. ▶ Winner's Mentality 2:30 · Ch 3
Dip / pullback / downtrend
A drop named by the trend it lost: local (1H 200s) holds = dip; local lost, HTF holds = pullback; HTF (4H 200s) lost + daily LL = downtrend. ▶ Bottom Buying 5:13 · Ch 11
Directionally proportional move
After a trend flips, expect a move comparable to the prior trend. A "measly" move is a tell. ▶ Fear of Chop 1:55 · Ch 4
Domino effect
One impulse trade (fear of missing out, boredom) triggers the next, until you are fading your own thesis. ▶ Domino 4:28 · Ch 15
Entry and then some
The real fear: your bid fills and price keeps falling through it. ▶ Watchlist W5 6:49 · Ch 7
Expansion / repricing
The move away from a long range. Don't fight it. ▶ Fair Value 1:06 · Ch 4
Fair value
The price a long range was built around, traced by an anchored VWAP from the range start. ▶ Predicted Drop 5:00 · Ch 4
Fib extensions
Targets beyond a chosen high → low in price discovery: 1.618, 2.618, 3.618, 4.236, 6.85, 11.09. Self-fulfilling because everyone draws them. ▶ Retire Cycle 7:19 · Ch 12
Four-second rule
Name the state (up / down / range / consolidation) within 4 s with no indicators, or skip the asset. ▶ 4-Second Rule 1:13 · Ch 1
Front-ran
Price turned before reaching your bid. No fill. Don't chase. ▶ Watchlist W17 10:15 · Ch 7
Golden pocket
The 0.618–0.65 retracement of the chosen high → low. The last resistance before price discovery. ▶ Retire Cycle 7:48 · Ch 12
Gray box
His S/R zone, drawn where price taps one horizontal region repeatedly. Speculative. ▶ Explaining 2:45 · Ch 3
Guard dog barking at the wind
A perma top/bottom caller who is eventually "right" and wants a treat. ▶ Winners vs Losers 3:47 · Ch 2 · Ch 14
Inflection point
A level where assumptions scale either way: hold = more bullish, lose = significantly bearish. Plain support is not one. ▶ Bottom Buying 7:17 · Ch 11
Invalidation
The point where your reasons for the trade disappear. "Your entry is oftentimes your invalidation." ▶ Explaining 11:14 · Ch 3 · Ch 9
Level merit
A level's weight comes from its timeframe. Bigger merit, bigger take-profit. ▶ Take Profit 1:41 · Ch 10
Life cycle of a turkey
Confidence (and size) that mirrors price, peaks at the top, and follows the one trend break down. ▶ Keep Profit 1:49 · Ch 14 · Ch 10
Limbo
Mixing investor and trader: a bad investor on every rally, a bad trader on every dump. ▶ Bottom Buying 24:26 · Ch 13
Line in the sand
The one level that decides the trade. Lose it and you go to the next HTF zone. ▶ Watchlist W16 2:11 · Ch 9
Market structure
The swing sequence: HH/HL is up, LL/LH is down, LH+HL is consolidation. Interpretive. ▶ Stop Trading 0:16 · Ch 1
Moonboy
Holding for ever-higher targets in price discovery. Fine while the 4H 200s + daily structure hold. ▶ Retire Cycle 25:12 · Ch 12
No ante
Unlike poker, sitting out costs nothing. The edge is knowing when not to play. ▶ This Mistake 12:50 · Ch 15
Opportunity cost
The price of waiting for confirmation: less R, and the trigger may fire while you sleep. ▶ Watchlist W9 11:31 · Ch 7
Options thinking / domino of options
Ask "what options do I have if X, Y or Z occurs?" instead of "what can I make?". Good early positioning improves every later option. ▶ Therapy 16:30 · Ch 14
Paper hand
Exiting a valid trade early out of fear. ▶ Take Profit 10:12 · Ch 10
Perceived probability
Your estimate of the odds from price action. Trading has no true odds like blackjack. ▶ RR + Prob 2:30 · Ch 8
Personal situation
Exposure, income, obligations, risk tolerance. The most important of the three aspects. ▶ RR + Prob 4:42 · Ch 8
Pivot / do-or-die zone
A confluence level where holding means continuation and failing means a shift. ▶ Level to Watch 2:01 · Ch 3
Plan A / B / A2 / C
Thesis state machine: A thesis → B invalid → A2 reclaimed → C reassess (range mindset). ▶ Giving Back 3:06 · Ch 9
Price discovery
Price above its all-time high, with no prior levels overhead. Targets come from fib extensions. ▶ Trend Reclaims 0:43 · Ch 7
R / RR
Reward ÷ risk, in multiples of the amount risked (e.g. 2.1R, 12.4R). ▶ RR + Prob 4:18 · Ch 8
Range
Sideways with roughly equal highs and lows. Norm: lows → mid → highs → mid → lows. ▶ Isolating 1:52 · Ch 3
Recency bias
Over-weighting what just happened. Compare a move to the ADR and the bigger range. ▶ Recency 18:54 · Ch 5
Red flags
Preset triggers that end the waiting: break below the 4H 200s, a range forms, a break below the range. ▶ Appreciation 7:58 · Ch 13
Relative strength
How an asset behaves vs BTC (or BTC vs equities). Outperformers get the attention. ▶ Time Different? 0:33 · Ch 5 · Ch 6
Right or adjusting
His definition of never wrong: the thesis either keeps holding or the market forces an adjustment. ▶ Never Wrong 0:01 · Ch 14
Run it back turbo
A reclaim of the same trend MA after a breakdown means the low was in, so the trend resumes. ▶ Watchlist W13 13:37 · Ch 7
Scaled stop
A stop tighter than textbook, under micro structure + LTF 200s. More R, lower probability. ▶ Stop Loss 3:11 · Ch 9
Scaling assumptions
Stepping analysis, targets and stops to the nearest actionable trend tier instead of a stale HTF read. ▶ BEST Strategy 22:11 · Ch 2
Setup
Risk-reward + perceived probability. Personal situation is not part of it. ▶ RR + Prob 4:30 · Ch 8
Slow bleed
A grinding decline into a zone. Don't pre-bid it. ▶ Watchlist W6 6:54 · Ch 7
Snowflake / snowball / snowman
LTF noise → an LTF strength signal → every timeframe agreeing. A snowman needs a snowball first. ▶ Snowball 0:36 · Ch 2
Speculation vs interpretation
Anything you draw (lines, boxes) vs data everyone sees the same way (structure, MAs, volume). ▶ Spec vs Interp 2:10 · Ch 5
Step in front of the train
Bidding a HTF zone against LTF momentum (Setup A). ▶ Watchlist W6 6:46 · Ch 7
The 200s
The 200 MA + 200 EMA pair on one timeframe, read as a cloud ("blue and green lines"), e.g. 4H 200s, 200D. ▶ BEST Strategy 5:57 · Ch 2
Three "-ations"
Justification, expectation, invalidation. The reason you entered, inverted, is your exit. ▶ Stop Loss 0:50 · Ch 9
Top-right / bottom-right corner
Where price is heading: uptrend / downtrend. The "little Timmy" read. ▶ Rational 5:40 · Ch 1
Trend portrayal (proxy)
An LTF 200s standing in for the HTF trend: 1H→4H, 4H→daily, 200D→weekly. ▶ Scaling 8:13 · Ch 2 · Ch 6
Vacation mode
After a major breakdown, take weeks off and rebid 20–40% lower. ▶ Fair Value 3:28 · Ch 4
Valid vs actionable
A thesis can be true but need a 30–60% move to be proven wrong. That makes it not actionable. ▶ Recency 2:23 · Ch 5
White space
The distance between price and the next trend band or level, with no signal in between. ▶ Scaling 10:44 · Ch 2
